Restaurant & café feedback QR — hear it before they leave

A private feedback QR for your tables, menus, and receipts. Guests can flag a problem in the moment — anonymously, no app — so you can fix it before they leave. Runs alongside your public reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Is a feedback QR allowed under Google's review rules?

Yes. The thing the rules prohibit is "review gating" — pre-screening customers by how happy they are and steering the unhappy ones away from public review sites. A Kindtact feedback QR doesn't do that: it isn't a Google review link, it's shown to every guest equally, and it never filters by sentiment or routes anyone anywhere. It's a private channel that runs alongside your public reviews, not a way to replace or suppress them.

Isn't this just a sneaky way to stop bad reviews?

No — and it's worth being clear, because that approach is against the rules. Google's review policy (tightened again in April 2026) and the Australian Consumer Law both ban manipulating or suppressing reviews; the ACCC's landmark case fined Meriton $3 million in 2017 for steering unhappy guests away from TripAdvisor. Kindtact does the opposite of gating: the same QR is offered to everyone and your public reviews are untouched. The honest value is privacy and speed — you simply hear from a guest while they're still in the room, so you can fix a problem while you still can.

Does the guest need an app to leave feedback?

No. Any smartphone camera scans the QR and opens a simple form in the browser. No download, no sign-up, nothing to install — that low friction is the whole point.

Do we see who left the feedback?

Only if they choose to tell you. By default a note is anonymous. A guest can add their name or a contact detail if they'd like a reply, and then you can respond through Kindtact's private relay — but it's always their choice, never required.

Can each table or each venue have its own QR?

Yes. Your account includes up to 25 QRs, so you can give every table, counter, or location its own code and see which one a note came from. Larger venues and multi-site groups can add more QRs and shared-inbox team features on the Business tier.

Where do the messages land, and can more than one manager get them?

Every note arrives in one private business inbox with an instant email alert, instead of a personal mobile. You choose who receives them and can reassign that any time as staff change. The Business tier lets a team share the inbox so the duty manager always sees feedback in the moment.

Can we show a short message when a guest scans?

Yes. Every Kindtact QR can display a brief owner-set note on scan — for example "Tell us how we did tonight", today's specials, or opening hours — right above the private feedback form. It's a short note, not a full menu or webpage.

How much does a Kindtact feedback QR cost?

The account is free to start — up to 25 QRs and 5,000 messages a month — with paid Pro and Business tiers for teams, multiple venues, and more QRs. You only pay for any printed stickers on top. Sticker packs are available now from the buy page; for Business plan pricing, contact sales@kindtact.com.
