School QR Tags — Get Lost Lunchboxes, Water Bottles & Umbrellas Back
A QR sticker for your child's lunchbox, water bottle, umbrella and school bag so lost gear comes home — without printing your name or number on the outside. Doubles as a private emergency contact at pickup, excursions and on the walk to school.
Frequently asked questions
My child already has name labels — why do I need this?
Name labels broadcast your child's identity to anyone who reads them, yet still don't tell a finder how to reach you. A Kindtact QR does the opposite: it gives a finder a direct, private way to message you to return the item, without printing your child's name, class, or your phone number on the outside.
Is the sticker waterproof? These items get wet and bashed around.
Our vinyl decals are UV-stable and weatherproof — designed to survive years on a car windscreen. A water bottle in the dishwasher tray, a lunchbox, or an umbrella in the rain is well within their tolerance. Even a scuffed or partially weathered sticker keeps scanning thanks to built-in error correction in the QR code.
Could a stranger misuse the QR?
The QR opens a contact form that routes through Kindtact. The finder never sees your phone number unless you've explicitly chosen to include it. All messages are logged, and you can disable any tag instantly from your dashboard if something feels off.
How many stickers do I need?
One tag per item you want covered — most parents start with the things that go missing most: the drink bottle, lunchbox, umbrella and school bag. Each tag is reusable year after year and you can re-point it to a new contact any time from your dashboard.
Will this replace the school's emergency contact system?
No — it's a complement, not a replacement. The school's own records, teacher supervision, and front-office protocols are still the primary safety net. A Kindtact QR is an extra layer: mostly it gets lost gear back to you, and if it's ever something more serious, a passing adult can still reach you quickly.
